I will give you my best guess.... 1. If you can not reboot in any mode and "get into" your computer AT ALL, obviously you have to go to the repair shop, as YOU will not be able to do ANYTHING. 2. It sounds like you have a registry error caused by a virus OR more commonly by simply (usually repeatedly) cutting the power to computer and not being patient enough to slowly shut down your computer and back out of all programs. In any event I recommend you go to repair place, as it is almost never a good idea to mess with the registry as that could totally mess up your operating system......

if your computer wont start then how did you wright this message?

Good question: If your computer won't start, how are you sending this? Other good questions: -Why are you posting this in the Los Angeles forum? -Have you tried posting this in the Computer forum? -Have you tried going into safe mode? What happens then?

Obviousman

BRIAN IS RIGHT, HOW DID YOU??? lol Did you have limewire downloaded, you may have a virus, that doesn't sound like a problem you can fix unless you are REALLY computer smart, try bringing it to Staples or any Computer Repair shop.

Your computer may need reformatted which means wiped clean and xp put back on it BUT try a system restore first, you can do it in minutes. Select 'Safe Mode' when booting up your computer. Then if it boots click on the 'Start' button on your task bar at the bottom left of your display. Then click 'All Programs,' then click 'Accessories,' then click 'System Tools,' then click 'System Restore,' then select a date prior to when the problems started. One of the answers mentioned Limewire, if you have that get rid of it forever, I know you love your music but it's full of deadly computer virus's. Write this stuff down and give it a try. It's quick and it's easy and it often works, if it doesn't work you've lost nothing, if it does work you're healed and you can come back and give me ten points for best answer please. Good computing to you.

Brian. It's called having another computer. Anyways, like Obviousman said, did you try to go into Safe Mode and try to find the source of the problem through there?
