Where is a good, safe place to run in LA?

• Ok, so i want to run somewhere so i can lose a little weight. My mom won't let me run in our neighborhood, she says its too dangerous :P .... i live near Watts by the way.... Does anybody know of any nice, safe places nearby where i can run? OH! And, I don't have a car so something preferably an hour or less on the bus... Also, please don't suggest me going to the gym, 'cause i don't have a very good job right now, so a membership is outta the question.... Thanx in advance! :)

  Have you checked out the nearby recreation centers, maybe it's safe to run on the field?
