Is the US Open of Surfing free?

US open of surfing (concerts)?

  • I have a few questions regarding the US Open of Surfing taking place in Huntington Beach, California. 1. Are we allowed to take proffesional cameras to the concert? 2. What are some things we can/can't bring? 3. What is a good time to arrive if we want to get front row? 4. Any tips/hints/rules we should know about? 5. Where will the stage be set up?

    Arrive very early, 2 hours before the show, at least. The stage is by the pier on City Beach. The stage faces the beach which makes for a small area that people can cram into. It's very hot and crowded, dress accordingly and stay hydrated. More than 500,000 people show up. The bathrooms get funky. Bring a backpack with wet wipes and sunscreen. Bring cash Parking is a ***** and expensive Don't bring guns, knives, bottles, alcohol. I don't know about the camera, I would assume 'no' since there are hired photographers working the event. It's fun, I went in 2008. The website below has pics so you'll know what to expect.
