Good colleges near Anaheim CA?
-
Im looking for a great college near Anaheim because I am considering having a job at disneyland. I am looking for colleges like Loyola Marymount (can anyone answer how far it is from disneyland or how much time it would take each day to get there?) or USC..but I don't know how far away they are. But also if anyone has any ideas on other colleges not far away from there? That would be wonderful! Thank you so much!!!!!!

Answer:
Chapman/Dodge in Orange is about 5 miles from Disneyland. It's freshman admission profile is similar to LMU, about 3.7 average GPA, and a bit above 1800 average SAT score, and tuition is similar. Chapman http://www.chapman.edu/ Kids from Cal Poly Pomona/Collins College participate in the Disney College Program, it's a paid internship. Cal Poly is about 20+ miles from Disneyland, 30 minutes if there is no traffic. Cal Poly Pomona http://www.csupomona.edu/~collins/DisneyInternship.shtml Disney College Program http://cp.disneycareers.com/en/default/ UC Irvine is less than 20 miles from Disneyland. UC Irvine http://www.uci.edu/ The Claremont Colleges (5 great undergrad colleges) are about 30 miles away from Disneyland, so long commute. Claremont Colleges http://www.claremont.edu/ Cal State Fullerton is less than 10 miles from Disneyland. Cal State Fullerton http://www.fullerton.edu/ I think there are also several community colleges not far from Disneyland. LMU is about 40 miles from Disneyland, so close to an hour commute, more with traffic. USC is over 30 miles, not a fun commute, 45 minutes with no traffic, which doesn't happen when most people drive. The commute between LA and Orange Co can be really bad. Good luck!

if you're working at Disneyland, LMU is WAY too far. USC is doable especially since you can just take metrolink directly from USC to Anaheim. Good luck. if not look into UCI, Chapman, Cal State Fullerton or Long Beach St.

If you would consider a Christian University, Biola is only 11 miles and Azusa Pacific is 30 miles.
