What's the shortest train route to Springfield?

Whats the best route to get to the getty center in LA from lancaster through the metrolink?

  • im planning a day trip for me and a friend to go to the Getty art museum but I'm currently out a car so i must take the train. can anyone help me plan this trip? i just need to know what station to get off on and where to go from there. i tried looking it up myself but ran into difficulties. also, im fine walking a mile or so, but any further id take the bus. how does that work? is there a pass that i can buy for the train and bus or is it all separate? kind of on a budget, so if you have fees that would help to.

  • Answer:

did you know your metrolink ticket becomes a day pass on metro? just take metrolink so you already have day pass you would first just take metrolink to union station so what you would is to take red or purple line[subway] to Vermont and wilshire then take the 720 bus to westwood and wilshire then take the 761 to the Getty edited i almost forget antelope valley transit has commuter run to west los angeles http://www.avta.com/commuter/Route786map.pdf fare is $8.85 one way

Krad there is no public transport other than a bus that goes any where near the Getty Center. I have no idea how to get there on bus but others here, probably, travel mark, will be able to tell you. It's a pretty cool place and may take more than a day to see it.....
