Where is a good place to live in Los Angeles and go to school for fashion?

Im thinking about moving to LA for the summer with a couple of friends, and go to school and hopefully intern. My friends are interested in acting and going to auditions where would be a good place for all of us to locate?

This is typical of wannabe actors who know nothing about LA and the business. It doesn't matter where you live, because an audition can be in Hollywood, Culver City, or Burbank. If you want to go to fashion school, you'll probably want to go to IMDB. What a great plug for them. I don't know how much they paid MTV, but I'm sure their applications tripled after the show aired. Go check out lalife.com and see which areas are safe to live in.
