How are Northern California and Southern California different?

Shouldn't Northern California be seperated into a different state from Southern California?

  • Northerners are so gross and boring! All they do is sit around sipping coffee all day and talking about politics. Even the minorities in Northern Cali are disgusting!

    That idea pops up quite often, but usually goes nowhere once people realize that the south needs the north's water and the north needs the south's agricultural output. I sometimes wonder if maybe San Diego and Imperial counties should leave California and become part of Arizona.

Sipping coffee and discussing Politics? I see that all the time on Ventura Blvd. all the clowns spending way too much for coffee and a muffin, while accessing the wiifii pretending to be important screen writers, lawyers or top level managers, but actually looking at PORNO ... talk about disgusting! But to answer yoiur question NO because we have as many jerks here as No. Cali its nice to know how someone from michigan answers all questions pertaining to Los angeles... and I believe he has never even been here, I don't nothing about PHYSICS. so maybe I should spend more time in the Physics forum.. and then when someone ask for the calculation to obtain critical mass, I can throw in my two cents.. mainly for the points, because other your basic algebra, mathematics is not one of my strong suits!

l o l California has been like that for 75 years but no one can agree where to divide the state. People in Santa Rosa don't want to be with San Francisco. People in Santa Barbara dont like Los Angeles. And nobody likes Sacramento even though it is the capital. North and South being antagonistic toward each other. But the state is now so large and overgrown that it would have to be sliced into 6 states. With 37 million people, even two states does not differentiate politics and climate because other areas of the state are also developed enough to want separation. The non-whites in Northern Cal are disgusting? How do you mean? Plenty of people in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood site at sidewalk cafes and sip lattes, not just in Berkeley or Santa Cruz. Northern California is more politically aware. All of our top state officials are from San Francisco: Governor Jerry Brown Lt. Gov.
