Beach Hotels near Los Angeles?

  • Looking for a nice beach hotel in the LA area to go for the weekend...not too expensive but nice, ~$200 a night... was thinking huntington beach but don't know which hotel... Id prefer to have it right near the sand... Thanks

    I think there are some small local places on Sunset Beach that may be less than $200 - I think there's a Ramada- hopefully someone else will know about this. If you don't get anything under $200, the upper end hotels in Huntington are the Hyatt (at $250) and the Hilton ($230/night). Both these prices are from hotels.com, by the way. If you decide to spend a little more, both these hotels share a dynamite location, right across PCH from a classic SoCal beach.
