Where is the best place to stay in Los Angeles?

Where is the best place for a couple of 20 year old girls to stay while visiting Los Angeles?

    That would depend on why they are here. Is it for "spring break', to sight see, to just visit, to check out colleges,? Surely the beach would be a good day time activity, although next weeks weather isn't predicted to be beach weather (cool, in the 60's) so anywhere along the beach would answer that. As for night life, they are at that age where they're old enough to know better, but still young enough to be led astray. I'm sure that they will eventually venture to the Hollywood area. Just remind them that some parts of Hollywood is not very safe, so be aware of who they are with and where they are, and stay together. I know you are a loving parent who has taught them those good mid-western values so they should be OK.
