Best Firework Show in or Around Orange County, CA?

  • I am looking to find something to do on the 4th of july with a group of friends. Where is a good place for an all day event or the be firework show in southern california?

    The biggest fireworks show (outside Anaheim's Disneyland) is at the Newport Dunes. Another spot is Dana Point Local residents are encouraged to bike or walk to their favorite viewing spot to avoid the annual parking difficulties. They offer free Shuttle buses make round trips from the Dana Hills High School to Dana Point Harbor, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. If you drive, plan ahead. Parking lots at Doheny State Beach and the Dana Point Harbor fill up very early. Personal vehicle access to the Harbor closes at 7:30 p.m., only buses will be allowed in during the closure.

The VERY best fireworks show is at Disneyland. They do fireworks shows through the year so they have more experience with putting on a great show. Plus you have the park to enjoy until it gets dark.

RE: Newport Dunes Fireworks Show -- I just called the main office number and found out that they charge $50 for parking! OUTRAGEOUS!!

I say visit downtown San Bernardino thier is going to be a street fair, 4th of July parade, and fireworks but doesn't start to until around 4 and 5. But I say be an hour early its hard to find parkin in downtown San Bernardino. (about a 45 minute drive from dinsney) Ther is also the National orange show in San Bernardino!

Disneyland puts on a special fireworks show for the 4th. I'm sure that each hotel at Disneyland has a good balcony, but that requires spending the night. Also, innoventions closes at 9pm, but get up on the balcony and it is an excellent firework viewing point.
