Nude or Topless Beach Near Los Angeles?

Are there any beach resorts near Los Angeles?

  • We were originally going to go to Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes because of a deal on Groupon, but it sold out. I'm hoping for something that is under $150 a night, and is near Los Angeles. Thanks!

    The Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach in Oxnard in Ventura County which is west of Los Angeles, which is about and hour from Los Angeles. It's a great resort, I've stayed there twice, and the resort is all Suite since it's an Embassy Suites, and it is right on the beachfront, and there are a lot of amenities in the resort such as in the hotel, there are pools, tennis courts, a spa, tennis courts, fitness center, and in the beach, you can rent bikes to ride around the beach. Also since it is an Embassy Suites, there is complementary cooked to order breakfast every morning, and a managers reception with free drinks, an open bar, and snacks, every day right at 5. There is also a restaurant on site, the Capistrano's Restaurant which is a fine-dining restaurant, but there is also a bar, and a more casual dining setting available. Terranea is the ONLY place in SoCal that you are going to get a deal like that. And it's one of the only resorts on the ocean (they have a VERY small beach). - It's not uncommon for a Motel 6 along the coast to cost $150 a night. Check Travel Zoo, Last Minute Travel, or even the Terranea website for other deals. The Terranea Resort is FANTASTIC. The problem is that it opened on New Years Eve 2009 (I think), because of the high cost of the property they purchased and building, it has been on the brink of bankruptcy since it opened. They recently did some financial negotiating and as long as they break even, they will be ok for awhile.
