Any mountain biking, mountain biking training, places around los angeles, ca?

i would like to start off mountain biking, ive only done straight rode biking and would like to get into more action. i expereinced a bit of dirt biking but not quite as excited. so if anyone know of any places near los angeles, california. please tell. ty in advance.

Check out the Santa Monica National Parks and recreational area. Hundreds of miles of trail are appropriate for mountain bike riders at all levels of fitness. But if you are just starting our I would suggest Malibu Creek or Cheesbro Canyon trails
