What's the weather like in Los Angeles, California?

  • I am traveling to California (near Los Angeles) next week. I have never been there before, and I am wondering what kinds of clothes to bring for the weather. (I live in Pennsylvania.)

Ocassionally a low pressure area over Northern Nevada or Utah will cause the temps to be in the 70's for a couple days, but that is rare. The elevation of Los Angeles is too low for snow, but it does snow on the near by mountains. Bring the same things you would normally wear for those temperature ranges.

Depending on the weather, you don't have to bring much. It doesn't snow and it barely rains. I, at most, take a sweater when I go out and if it rains I'll have my umbrella or zip up the hood. If your going out at night, you might want to bring a warmer jacket since it does tend to get chilly. In the mornings though, there's a light breeze or sometimes it's even sunny.

It is nice at this time. Evenings have a chill of coolness, and mornings can get warm with a nice breeze. The temperature can get as low as 40s and as high as 70s. There's often some humidity in the air, and rarely you might get some rain, but don't count on it.

It's warm, but if you expect to be able to enjoy it, forget it. You'll be coughing 24 hours per day there due to all the smog. Come here to Toronto if you want clean air AND nice weather.

It's awesome here like 70s or 80s maybe. Maybe bring a sweater or to just in case. It's really nice here this time of year.
