    Probably more diversed, new buildings would be constructed for the growing population, maybe max up to 5 million people by 2028. I do hope that there will be a large amount of decline in gang violence by 20 years so more people can feel safe when they're at home. But, it might look like Tijuana in 20 years, who knows?

does it look that much different today than it did 20 years ago? in general im sure it will look exactly the same. in detail you wil probably see manifestation of new technology. but that's about it

A high-density metropolis with long streams of parking lots that were once referred to as "freeways." It will be a lot more crowded. More apartment buildings, high-rises. There isn't much open land left in Greater LA, so look for more new multi-use (and often expensive) developments like the Grove, Paseo Colorado, etc. And I'm HOPING that it will have a good public transit system (subway) that actually goes places(!), and that LA's leaders will leave some space open for public parks.
