Are there any clubs in Los Angeles that play bachata music?

Are There Any Crowded Parks In Los Angeles, CA Where I Can Bring My Portable Amp And Play Music?

  • Hi everyone, i am a musician and play music in public areas where there are large crowds of people. Can anyone recommend a list of parks that are full of people on the weekends (and if possible you can tell me about what time of the day it gets crowded, if you can) where i can play my music and get a good crowd. I have a portable amp (about 800 - 1000 watts) and i also sing on the mic. This would be a great help to me! Thanks!!!

  • Answer:

Both the Venice beach boardwalk and the Third Street Promenade (in Santa Monica) feature street performers. You'll need a license to perform on the Promenade, but it only costs $37. See http://downtownsm.com/faq/street-performance.html I don't think you need a license at Venice, but I'm not positive. Last year, the city was talking about regulating performers there, but I don't think anything came of it.
