What is Irvine and Newport like to live in,they were voted one of the best places to live in california,can?

  In Irvine they have 47 different words for 'beige', which is the only color of the buildings and until recently the only color legally allowed. Irvine is a master planned community with quite a few high tech and biomedical research companies headquartered there. It's clean with low crime and the residents tend to be well educated. Because of that the real estate tends to be more expensive. Laguna and Newport Beach are wealthy beach communites that are more architecturally interesting communities than Irvine. If you have the money than both places are nice to live in.
