When will tickets for VIP Experience in Universal Studios LA for early January 2012 be available?

Right now, it's only available to be purchased on-line until December 31st - when will they let you buy for January 2012? Also, is the second week of January a good time to visit Universal Studios? What is the cheapest place to stay near to the theme park?

Just check the website about once a week for the available tickets. They'll probably go on sale around the middle of December. January is a good time to visit. For theme parks it's considered off season. President's Day weekend is an exception. The hotels near Universal are: Hilton Universal Directly across from the studios. Free shuttle to and from for guests. www.universalcityhilton.com Sheraton Universal www,sheraton.com/universal Holiday Inn (the Beverly Garland) It was owned by the actress and is geared toward families visiting Universal. Very family oriented and least expensive of the hotels in the area. www.beverlygarland.com
