What is some info on being a firefighter in Las Vegas, NV?

I plan to move to vegas in a few years or so but just recently I have decided to persue becoming a firefighter. Thing is there isn't another test to become one for another 18-19 months here in Omaha, NE. I'm sure all the requirements are pretty much the same for the most part but mainly what I am looking for is how often do they do the tests to become a firefighter in Las Vegas. I have been told I will have to retest even if I do become a firefighter in Omaha, NE right now
