What are some good, but affordable hair salons on the Las Vegas Strip?

Salons in Las Vegas for make-up application and hair styling?

  • My husband and I are going to Las Vegas next month, and while there, one day, I want to get my hair styled and make-up applied – “Las Vegas style!” Any suggestions of what salon does good make-up and hair that are near the strip? So far, the only salon on my list is Amp at the Palms Hotel. Thanks!

    I just read about this place during my trip and think this is the best idea ever. The place is called Platinum Entourage and is a "Blow Dry Bar" they do all the work. The info below is from their recent press release (hence why it got into the magazine I was reading while in Vegas). I haven't tried the place but it looks great and I will be back in Vegas in May for a Bachelorette and absolutely look forward to trying this place out. "No appointment necessary and $35 bucks gets you a perfect blow-out/style of your choice or flawless makeup by one of their genius artists. Whether date night, girls night out or a simple business lunch with a client, ladies in Vegas can finally rock in style with-in a moments notice as of Sept. 1st, 2010!"

There is NO such thing as a Vegas style in hair but makeup would be lots and dark. Most hotels have a salon so you don't have to go off Strip and if they do not the concierge will help you get the closest one. Palms is not on Strip n or walking distance

The best salon / spa on the strip is Canyon Ranch at the Palazzo. With a service you can use their aquavena program.
