What's the best kid-friendly Cirque de Soleil show in Las vegas?

Can I sneak a camera into a Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas?

  • I'm going to Las Vegas to see Cirque du Soleil for the first time in Las Vegas. Will they check my bag for a camera? Will they take it away from me? I hear they walk up and down the aisle during the show looking for people using cameras, is that true?

  • Answer:

I just saw O at the Bellagio a few days ago. Man it was great! I was really unsure about paying so much for a ticket, but it was totally worth it considering you would probably dump that much playing blackjack and leave with nothing. But with seeing this show you will remember it. I saw a lady in front of me take out a camera to take a picture, she was quickly told not to by the staff. The theater is so big that attendents are walking up and down the isles to help people find their seats. You will not enjoy this experience looking through a camera. Plus there won't be enough light to get good video or pictures. Plus it won't be any good.

Obviously you shouldn't have a camera with you. Thats disrespect to the people on stage. So you are going to stick their whole performance on youtube? Niiiicccceee. How about you leave the camera at home?

They do look for people with cameras. They do things a little differently in Vegas. Lotta problems get solved out in the desert. Lotta desert surrounding Vegas. Lotta holes in that desert. But you gotta do it right,...you gotta have the hole already dug. You never know who's gonna come along in that time. You could wind up diggin' all night long.

No, I brought along my camera to a cirque de soleil show on valentines day and there wasn't any one walking down the aisles checking. In fact there were many people taking pictures. However, this was before the show even started. Once the show started, they broadcast to everyone that no cameras are to be used when the show is in progress. Every show is different though. The one I went to was Le Reve at the Wynn and they weren't very strict at all with cameras. They just don't want the performers to be distracted by flashing lights in the audience. Btw, Le Reve was great!

They do not check purses etc but if you use the camera they will take it temporarily from you. They sell inexpensive pictures in the gift shop
