We are planning on going to Vegas for the 4th of July weekend... Is it a good idea? Is it gonna be too full? Can we still have fun? Also when is the best time to book for hotel rooms? We are still undecided about going there... Should we book the hotel before the prices start going up?

It really depends on who's going... College age wise? Parents age wise with kids? Elder age wise? To be honest it's a lot more fun to go there if you're in your 20s with no kids during that weekend or even 30s :-) Also to be honest...kids are no fun when taking them to Vegas because of a lot of things and it's scary, they can get lost, kidnapped, molested, they're around a lot of smokers, drinkers, cussers, lovers, drunkers, and it's gonna be way too crowded that it'll ruin your weekend as a family. Plus it'll be hard taking them to a near by restrooms due to tons of people who'll be there. As for booking hotels...no matter what (even if you book a room from January) the prices will never go down during any holiday. It'll stay high and it will go higher at last minute bookings. Unless you get them grungy, cockroaches hotels lol, sorry but it's true.

The prices are already high, no matter when you book. You wont have any problem having fun in Las Vegas, you have to try really hard to have a bad time there. If its price your worried about, go the week before Thanksgiving, its one of the cheapest weeks to go. If you have been to Las Vegas before, call the hotel you previously stayed at and ask if they can give you a better rate than what is offerd.
