What is the best Las Vegas hotel for a 21st birthday?

  • My 21st birthday is coming up this summer and we are planning a huge trip to Vegas. What hotels are recommended for a 21st birthday? I want to stay on the strip, be around the young crowd, and not have to pay top dollar (Wynn, Bellagio). Also if you know any sites that give promo codes that would be great. I have been to smartervegas.com but it seems like all of their promo codes are only for the next few months and I want to get this trip booked and set in stone so that all of the other people coming can plan accordingly.

    It all depends on your style, if you are looking for young and trendy, Planet Hollywood for sure or the Palms. Hard Rock is also great, but off the beaten path of the strip. The food is great here, so make sure you research your favorite food and go to a great place, most of the best chefs have restaurants here. YOU MUST SPEND the day at the POOL! so check in early, this is the happening place. The best buffet in my opinion is the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan. Clubbing can get old, they are all the same, but find a great pool side club, something you cant find many other places and most of the resorts will have great lounge bands. See a show!! something sexy like Zumanity and maybe go to the Duelling Piano Bar at New York New York

All of these suggestions and no one mentioned PLANET HOLLYWOOD? Everything you described would be PH. It's right in the middle of the strip, attracts a younger crowd, and is much cheaper then the Wynn and Bellagio. Weekday rates would be around $130/night and weekend rates are around $200/night.

I would say Palms if you don't mind staying off the strip or the Hard Rock Hotel! TONS OF HOT GIRLS! Believe me i been to both! If you want to be on the strip then i would go for Planet Hollywood or MGM Grand for the younger crowd, they have Wet Republic at MGM and its eye candy city there with the girls!

The promo codes are only going to be available a few months out from the actual date. Similarly, you'll find better hotel rates if you wait until 2 or 3 months out from the date you want to stay. I know you want to book your trip early and secure a better price, but Vegas hotels will always mark their rooms at a higher price when it's several months away, and will only drop their rates when the dates get closer. The best hotels on the strip for a 21st b-day would probably be Planet Hollywood or MGM. If those are too expensive, you could also check nearby hotels such as NY NY, Luxor, or Tropicana. The other poster was on to something when he suggested The Palms. It's not on the strip, but you'd be crazy not to look into it. Same goes for The Hardrock, which is also not on the strip.
