Are there any nice safe and clean apartments near the Vegas Strip?

Where is the best place to live in Las Vegas?

  • I've recently been looking into apartments and such in Las Vegas. Unfortunately I'm only 18 so it's not like I have a ton of money to invest in this. Anyways, the few apartments that I did look at seemed nice until I read reviews. Some had all negative reviews about how much of a dump the place is while others had mixed reviews saying that the apartments weren't the best but the maintenance and such was good and the place was clean blah blah blah. Basically I have no idea what the best area to live in is. My grandma lives there I just don't know anything about where the best place to live is. I know that a lot of places are really bad and I certainly don't want to live somewhere where Its likely I'll get robbed or killed. (yes, I know that can generally happen everywhere) I'm looking for somewhere near the strip and all that (not too far) where the apartments are decently priced and good quality. The apartments that my grandma lived in were nice but I think she was paying around 1500 and I'd prefer to pay less than that seeing as you can probably get a nice house for the same price... I'm basically just asking anyone who lives/lived/or knows the area well to help me figure out where the best place is to live for a decent price. Thank you!

  • Answer:

Summerlin is great, but its expensive. The new communities are sprawled out all over so the further yo go away from the Boulevard. the better. Mountain's Edge out in Enterprise is nice. Bunch of new houses. you really have to drive around and see what its like. All districts have there goods and bads.

Their is no jobs here. Just minimum wage kiss the *** of a total stranger/tourist. Which I do not do! Its either Walmart or McDonald's fast food stuff or cashier mall job somewhere or telemarketing if your good enough. In and around the Stratosphere is no place to live! Off of Martin Luther King is a bad place to! North Las Vegas has its own funding problems. Good area to stay away from. Cheapest rents are advertised in the LVRJ.com apt listings. Most are in the central drug area. Inbetween Maryland Parkway and the Strip!

That was my final Answer.

Your best option is to stay with your grandma while you look for a place that makes sense for you. If you don't have a job, you shouldn't just decide you want to be near the strip = it can be a long commute depending on where you end up. A good apartment in Las Vegas will be $800-1000 per month.

A Hunch

I've been here my whole life. I've also lived in a few areas but NONE are better, safer, cleaner, and friendlier than Summerlin. It's a 25,000 acre development and has homes, condos and apartments for rent. I think if you ask any true Las Vegan they'll tell you the same.

Apartments are not cheap and Strip not the place to live when young. Ask you grandma where to live

Stay with Grandma.
