Have you seen celebrities while visiting Las Vegas?

LAS VEGAS dec/jan 2010. VIP host for clubs?

• Hey, I live in Sydney Australia, my husband is a nightclub owner here and we will be in Vegas for new years eve 2010 - our dates are actually 27th dec to the 3rd of jan. Basically my husband and i are looking to go to all the hot clubs while we are visiting. TRYST, XS, TAO, LAX etc We get super vip treatment everywhere here in Sydney as we are in well known in the industry, Obviously we are not going to get the same treatment in Vegas as we dont know anyone, but my husband has come acustomed to that treatment and just refuses to line up and bla bla bla to get into a club. So we dont mind paying $$$ for the right treatment. Im just wondering if you could steer us in the right direction? Give me any tips on how things work over there? Or any contacts? I have seen the VIP hosts on the internet but im not sure how genuine they are. i'd rather get a local reccomendation Any info you can give me would be greatly appriciated. Thanks heaps

  In Vegas you will be expected to spend a lot of $$$ for VIP treatment. Even buying bottles will not mean you can walk right in ahead of everyone else, because on busy nights in Vegas half the people in line are buying bottles. New Year's Eve in particular will cost you hundreds of dollars just for the privilege of getting in, and literally thousands of dollars to get any sort of VIP recognition. The best bet is to work with a host that is actually employed by the nightclub, not an independent promoter who gets kickbacks. Call the concierge desk at the hotel you will be staying at to put you in touch with some reliable hosts. Keep in mind that most hosts will not make any arrangements further than about 2-3 weeks out, so most likely they will just introduce themselves and ask you to call back in mid-late December.
