Which Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil Show Should I Take My Husband to?

• My husband is turning 30 in June (and our anniversary is the day after his birthday), and we are having our first child in late September. I told him to let me know what he wants for his 30th, since it will be his last birthday and our last anniversary alone together. He wants to see Cirque du Soleil. The closest it is playing is Vegas. He doesn't know which show he wants to see, so I'm trying to get some suggestions. He saw La Nouba in Orlando and loved it, but I have never been to a show, so I am clueless. The choices are Mystere, O, Ka, Love and Zumanity (although this one said 18+ only, so I'm not sure about it). Once he chooses a show, I will try to find a hotel close to it. I'd really love any recommendations for which show is the best. All I know is that Mystere is the classic, and the cheapest. We are traveling on 6/19 or 6/20 through 6/23, if that information helps.

  Hi, I've seen Mystere, O, and Ka. My favorite of the three is Ka. However, here is how I would break it down: Mystere - Most whimsical (aka weird), but best acrobatics, and more circus-like than any of the other shows Ka - i'm asian, i loved the pyrotechnics, its the only one with a somewhat story, decent martial arts, great music, very interesting stage. O - Great acrobatics that is mixed with diving. The stage is a 1.5 million gallon pool that transforms from land to water back to land in seconds...it's amazing. Somewhat of a story too, but not as good as Ka. Good music as well. The clowns were hilarious. That being said I highly recommend O for you and your husband. Although Ka is my personal favorite, my gf loved O, and I find that more people tend to like O better. Especially for age groups 30+ (I myself am 24). I may recommend Love as I also hear great things about it, but it's hit and miss, more hit if you're a beatles fanatic. Otherwise I say save it for another time..i'm sure it's great but O is just much better. As for Zumanity..I've heard good things too..but i've heard it's more like a glorified strip acrobatic show...definitely something to watch after you've seen the other Cirque shows. I also recommend Dinner At Mon Ami Gabi across the street in the Paris Casino..sit outside..it's alittle more casual than uber-fancy restaurants, but it's a great french bistro...and during your travel time you'll have great outdoor weather...and it faces the Bellagio fountains during dinner..extremely romantic experience (my gifrlfriend loved it..and it's now our MUST do everytime in Vegas).
