Why Is My Package Stuck in Customs?

Why would a package shipped from NY to Las Vegas get stuck in customs?

  • Shipped UPS Feb 29. Why the hell is it going through customs AFTER being out for delivery? And it's not even an international shipment! It's a box of my fathers person items because he's moving. Clothes, a small TV I gave him, ect. Timeline is thus: Las Vegas, NV, United States - 03/07/2012 - 7:23 P.M. - Government hold placed on shipment. 03/07/2012 - 11:53 A.M. - The package is being held for the required custom's inspection. 03/07/2012 - 4:36 A.M. - Out For Delivery Las Vegas, NV, United States - 03/06/2012 - 8:59 P.M. - Arrival Scan Commerce City, CO, United States - 03/06/2012 - 5:07 A.M. - Departure Scan Commerce City, CO, United States - 03/05/2012 - 11:49 P.M. - Arrival Scan Hodgkins, IL, United States - 03/02/2012 - 9:51 A.M. Departure Scan 03/02/2012 - 5:16 A.M. - Arrival Scan Latham, NY, United States - 02/29/2012 - 11:13 P.M. - Departure Scan
