Renting a scooter/moped in Vegas?

• I'm thinking about renting one for a day or two. I've never driven one before though so I have some questions: 1. Can two people ride on one? 2. Do you ride in the middle of the street like a car, or keep to the side like a bike? 3. When parking, again, do you have to park it in a designated vehicle spot like a car or motorcycle, or is it like parking your bike - put it pretty much anywhere reasonable? The two places I want to go are Red Rock Canyon and Freemont Street. Figured if I get one of these, I can do both in the same day or back to back days and save on rental car/cab fare.

  You will die. Driving in Las Vegas is like driving in mid-town Manhattan or maybe like the Bronx. An 11 year old was just hit and killed by her own school bus, the drivers here are so messed up. Cyclists, motorcyclists, scooters, pedestrians; it seems like there's a death here every week. Take a pass and rent a car. If that doesn't convince you consider this: The Red Rock loop has a seriously steep grade and rises hundreds of feet in elevation. A moped will never make it.
