What are good ideas for Boy Scout camp outs in the Kansas City area?

  • Looking for good ideas for Boy Scout camp outs in the Kansas City area - best if within a 4 hr drive. Do military bases still offer camp outs/tours? Has your troop been one that you really enjoyed - ideas that are inexpensive would be appreciated also. Thanks for your help!!!

Contact the Fraternal Order Of Eagle #47, at 10220 East 47th KCMO. It is out by the Sports Comples on 47th between Sterling and the Blue Ridge Cut Off. I think the phone is 816-358-4848. Them and the Eagles hace a very nice Camp at Nevada, MO 90 miles south of KCMO on 71 HWY. Explain your situation, they may get you there free or for some light labor on the buildings, or mowing. The Eagles are a charity organization. Good Luck.
