Where is the best place to float in missouri?

Is 'Kansas City,Kansas' and 'Kansas City,Missouri ' the same place?

  • I looked on maps, i cant tell if Kansas City, Kansas ---and--- Kansas City Missouri are the same place. Or maybe there is a Kansas Missouri

  • Answer:

They are actually 2 separate cities with two separate governments. But, they are joined together...you just walk across the street and you are in the other city and state.

Kansas City is a large border city. The Kansas/Missouri state line runs right through it. The bigger portion of the city is in the Missouri side. Since a city government must be a member of a State, the Missouri side of the city is called Kansas City, Missouri and has its own city government. Likewise, the Kansas side of the city is called Kansas City, Kansas and also has its own city government. Therefore, aside from city governments and the 'Welcome to Missouri or Kansas' billboard you will see while driving, it is really the same city (dictionary wise).

No, they're they same named town, in a different state. There's a Hollywood Florida. And a bunch of others... it does get kinda confusing.

Um no, one is a city in Kansas the other is a city in Missouri. Its quite common for multiple cities to have the same names.
