What smells come to mind when you think of Kansas?

It smell clean, aaaahhhhh♫♪

Where I live I smell hay and fried chicken☺

For smells...fresh grass. Food...corn, wheat, bread, something German Activities...running through the prairies, barefoot, with my best buddies when I was growing up. Living in the great American Midwest was the best experience any child could have. We'd play with the cows nearby, have picnics in the Flint Hills, and sometimes my dad would actually go Tornado Chasing with us, where we would follow the tracks of a tornado to see where it went. Exciting! And places...my grandmother's little house that HER grandfather built in like the 1800s with his bare hands. We would always visit her for thanksgiving or on a cold winter night. Her house was literally in the middle of nowhere, with nothing around her except miles and miles of endless flat lands, and of course that enormous Kansas sky above. Of course, me being a native Kansan, I've got nothing but good things to say about it. :) It's a beautiful place, with so much wide open spaces to free your mind and really breathe.

Rolling plains, summer storms, etc. Its smell depends on where you are. It often smells like grain or rain in rural areas but like any other city in urban areas. I think of BBQ, bread, and corn, and I think of Wichita (my hometown), Lawrence (where I live now), and Kansas City.

Corn, cow manure, for smells. Pork chops, bacon, eggs, ham, chicken for food. hayrides, drinking beer, cockfighting, hunting for activities. Topeka, kansas city, Wichita for locations.
