What is the best way to get from Peoria Illinois (Bradley University) to Bloomington Indiana (I U)?

    You could take the Greyhound bus, that would cost around $70 but takes 15 hours. Rent a car from Enterprise, Budget, Hertz and drive it. Bum a ride from someone you know that is heading that way. There is no one thing that will cover the best/fastest/cheapest way. My opinion renting a car would be the best, fastest and probably the safest way for you. CH

IMHO, renting a car is the best option. Unfortunately, many car rental companies require that drivers be 25, which is older than most undergraduates. I don't know if ZipCar is available at Bradley, see link below. In theory, you ought to be able to take a series of buses, from Peoria to Normal (Peoria Charter), to the Indianapolis Airport (LincolnLand Express), to Bloomington (Bloomington Shuttle). In theory, you ought to also be able to take an Amtrak to Chicago and from Chicago to downtown Indy (via train or Megabus) and from Indy downtown to the Indy airport via bus, and from the Indy Airport to Bloomington via the Bloomington Shuttle. Greyhound no longer stops in Bloomington, IN. Do you have a friend with a car who would like to visit Bloomington if you pay for gas? That might actually be your best choice. The leaves in Bloomington are gorgeous this time of year...This is homecoming weekend for IU, so there's lots going on.
