Can I work in Michigan but live in Indiana?

What are the better places to live... Michigan, Ohio, Indiana?

Right now I live in South East Michigan. What is better Michigan, Indiana or Ohio? I don't want to move really far away. I know that economy is bad right now, but even where I live it's bad. We want to start fresh. Also, where can I find out crime rates, population, etc... I don't want to move somewhere that there is a lot of crime.

Depends on a few things. Are you also looking for a job where your moving? I live in Indianapolis,In I really like it here. Sadly we have crime and far to much of it. There are many small farm towns in Indiana with little to no crime ..but also no jobs. Indianapolis is the 12th largest city in the USA. Still jobs in this area and also very affordable.
