    Emirates actually flies non-stop from Houston to Dubai and is a very safe and reputable airline. The flight is nearly 15 hours. It looks like Delta, United and Continental offer 1-stop trips from Houston to Dubai. I usually fly Continental and they're known in the airline industry for their outstanding customer service - free meals on flights, etc. If you don't mind the stop, I definitely recommend flying Continental. It also tends to be cheaper than the non-stop Emirates flight.

Emirates is an excellent airline and has flights from NYC. Maybe take a Continental flight from Houston to NYC (Kennedy) and connect.

I have a bias toward Continental (family works for the airline), so I'd suggest them. Sweetmommy suggested Emirates as well. According to their ads, they also travel to Dubai non-stop.

British Airways via London - nice connection via terminal 5 now means layover is not too long. Personally I couldn't handle 16+ hours on a direct flight with any airline in coach class, so I'd opt for a layover anytime.

Emirates! I did that trip two to three years ago. Find the affiliate partner for the US and I think its Continental.
