Is there a Greek area in Philadelphia?

Is there an area in Houston that has a large Greek community?

  • I am Greek American and am thinking about relocating to Houston with my Greek born and raised Greek husband. Is there an area , town or neighborhood that many Greek people liv ein like in NY or Chicago?

    There are quite a few Greeks & Greek descendants here but no real Greek community. There is a Greek school, Annunciation Orthodox School, which is in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and it's one of the better K-8th grade schools here. I would visit the Cathedral when you are here house hunting and ask around there. Most Greeks are integrated in with everyone else here.

I agree with the others, there is no one specific area that Greeks live in. I remember when my kids were young and attended Annunciation School we always had a list of all the students and their addresses and it seemed it was scattered all over the Houston area and subs. I would suggest when you get here find a nice area that is affordable to live and attend the Annunciation church and get involved with the church to meet people.

Yiassas! I recently went to the Greek Festival here in Houston and it was fun!! There isn't really a Greek community as there is in NY. But there are 2 Greek Orthodox churches,and an amazing restaurant called Niko Niko's so you might want to go there in case you want to meet some Greeks. There are more Greek restaurants here but that is the ONE you HAVE to go to.
