    the woodlands has a great fireworks show. you can park at woodlands mall and take a shuttle to the grassy knoll. in houston, tinsley park near downtown is your best bet. chevy has a big fireworks show they sponsor there. www.chron.com, check out the links on the right hand side of the landing page.

The Woodlands is having the world's largest display this year it'll be even bigger than the one in Houston.

It's a little late for the answer, but you can maybe check it out next year. Sam Houston Raceway Park. They put on a pretty good show and you don't have to worry about the huge traffic jam after the works like you do in downtown.

I usually go to Herman Park. That where everyone will be. We have a group of friends always picnic there. You can bring your own food save money or you can get food over there.... Then when the sky getting darker then you have a open view for the fireworks... Hope this help...
