  • Answer:

It depends. If you want to go to a public school, I would recommend a "magnet public" school. Here are some prestigious schools in the Houston area in no particular order: *Strake Jesuit (All Boys School) (only high school) *St. Agnes (All Girls School) (only high school) *St Thomas High School (All Boys School) (only high school) DeBakey High School For Health Professions (only high school) *St. Johns *Kinkaide Bellaire High School (In Bellaire) *St. Thomas Episcopal School Pershing Middle School (only middle School) *Duchesne Academy (All Girls School) *Grace School (Only Middle School) *Trinity Christian Academy (grades K - 8) Lamar High School (only high school) T.H. Rogers School (K to 8 - GT and Deaf students K to 12 - MI kids) * = Private School You'll have to pay for your food; or you'll have to bring your own. If you really can't afford the food, (in some of the schools) you can apply for "low-income family" and they will give you a 50% - 100% discount depending on your annual income. I listed the most academically best schools in Houston. Hope this helps! Good luck! The first person to answer said there aren't any good schools in Houston. I disagree. Many schools that I have named in this list have academically outperformed other schools in the entire United States.

Hon, it depends on what part of town your dad lives in. Unless you go to private school, your address determines which school you will be in.

Try to go to a private school if you live in the inner city. The public schools are rough, but the suburbs are mostly OK. Private school is expensive, but there are sponsors for a few families who qualify. I live Friendswood. We have a great school district.

At any school in houston, you will have to pay for food, unless you get on free or reduced lunch. at most schools that will get you laughed at. i hate that, but it's the truth. It all depends on what side of town you dad lives in. there are good school in every area. My kids are at Wunderlich Intermediate in Klein forest ISD. But Paul Revere, Johnston, and Lanier are good in HISD. O'Donnel and Albright are the better two in Alief. Just depends on where he lives. Just e-mail me if you want to know more. Houston is a bunch of fun for someone your age. and i know that going to school is more than just education. it's part popularity and recreation also. but focus on getting educated and having some fun extra-curricular. all the schools i mentioned have that. xoxo- hope this helps!!

The answer right above me is great! However, if you are going to go to public school, try Cy-Fair Independent School District. I'm not sure what the middle school (7th) grade is but you want to feed into either Cy-Fair High School or the brand new one - Cy-Woods High School.

Houston schools are not very good schools. Is he moving to Houston or to a city outside of Houston?
