Good places to live around college station in Texas?

• with both of our children entering college in a few years my family is wanting to relocate to the Bryan -College Station area in Texas. We live in Fredericksburg and just can not see staying here after our children are gone ( in Fredericksburg housing is outrageous ,pay is poor and a serious lack of good jobs) . Could anybody from the area give us an idea what life is like in the area or recommend a good community there . Our children will both being going to school here and we all want out of Fbg.

  You want to consider the areas south of College Station where new homes are being built. It's far enough away from the university, yet convenient. Look south off Hwy 6 or Wellborn Rd. Just talk to any realtor in town to get an idea of good family type communities away from university student rentals.
