What kind of fishing can you do in Hawaii?

I am vacationing in Honolulu, Hawaii in March 09'. What kind of weather can I expect to get while I am there?

  • I have already made up my mind that I am going to Hawaii in March for my vacation. The plans have already been made, I have a friend who is from Hawaii but he has not been there in many years. So now I reach out to you. What kind of weather should I expect be in? Although my plans are already made, I just want to be aware of the weather so I can be sure to bring the right kind of clothes (a lot of shorts or a lot of pants) and also so I can plan a little smarter before I go (stuff I will do needs to be more indoors or more outdoors)????? Is there some way other than the weather channel or weatherchannel.com that I can monitor the weather, or maybe even look up what the weather was like last March? Thnx!!!!!!

    March is usually the second coolest time during the year in Honolulu. Each day is different for the whole month, but there's definitely more winds and cooler temperatures than is typical for Hawaii. The lows will be in about the 60s with the highs in the 80s. It rains some days in March, so it's good to be prepared for that chance. But usually the rains aren't that long in Honolulu. Honolulu did get some seriously strong rainstorms late last year, though. When it comes to the weather, anything's possible. I'd say you'll be safe bringing a sweater or jacket for the evenings.

I went to Hawaii (Oahu) in March. Yes, it did rain almost daily in the morning, but it was always very light, barely above a mist. And the temperatures were constantly pleasant, I was wearing shorts my entire stay. The afternoons and evenings are sunny and warm. I came back tanner than I've ever been my whole life! If you're really concerned, one pair of pants will suit you fine, but there should never be an occasion cold enough to don a jacket.

rain, but dont let that stop you from having fun. the red dirt contains alot of iron which helps the pineapples grow. Dole Plantation has great pineapple ice cream. get me a yellow Dole t-shirt when you get there and i owe you one. Hula's is a bar you and you friend can dance the whole night way there. Great fun, great looking people too! Stan Rivera is from there, but he's a jerk and lives and works in LA now. He makes major mistakes in his work, wonder why they still keep him. The honu await you, in fact they keep looking out fromthe water awaiting your arrival! call me when you get here!

bring one pair of jeans or khakis and one light jacket. the rest should be shorts and shirts/tank tops. if you are from a place where it snows, I'd say you probably don't even need long pants or a jacket! but it's always nice to have just in case! if it rains in Hawaii it's not like mainland rain where you can freeze and never dry off. it's usually a passing shower and the temps are warm so you dry off quick. it may be humid from the rain but it's very comfortable weather overall. definitely do out door stuff, snorkel, hike, bike, sight see. you can monitor the weather from the waikiki web cam right before you go and check out what it looks like. people go in the water there year round so that should tell you that even if you are fully soaked, it's still warm!!
