Can I collect unemployment in Florida and move to Hawaii?

  • I am curreently collecting unemployment in Florida and am moving to Hawaii in December. Will be able to continue collecting my Florida unemployment?

    Yes you can, people move all the time to look for work. contact your employment office first though. And Hawaii, really? Unemployment is even worse there.....

probably not because you have to apply in the state where you are living! however you will be able to apply for it in hawaii when you get there? if you have been getting it in florida you will be able to keep getting it in hawaii too? so if you are thinking of moving to a better place now is the best time while you are not working and still have some unemployment coming? it will give you time to look for a new kind of a job??
