What is the best vacation spot in Hawaii for a one week get-away?
-
I need to know the best vacation spots in Hawaii because I'm planning to go there with my hubby. Do you have any ideas that would be perfect for a one-week vacation? I hope that you could give me some of the cheapest places there. If you could also tell me of the possible fees needed for our stay that would be great. Thanks.

Good choice on choosing Hawaii as your next vacation destination, you won't be disappointed! My fiance and I booked a week long trip for next month, hotel and airfare for 2 cost $1208-$200(coupon code-ent200, for a 7 night stay in Hawaii) on orbitz.com, we paid $1008! Our hotel is located 2 blocks from Waikiki beach and includes complimentary breakfast! Oahu is a great island because it's gorgeous, there's soooo much to do for inexpensive, you have the mountains, you have the ocean, and you have a huge city, but you also have many secluded spots, and world class shopping!! We have 7 days to enjoy the best Oahu has to offer, that's why we bought Go Oahu Cards, good for 3,5,7 consecutive days and includes admission to over 30 attractions all over the island!! There is one drawback, reservations for some of the tours need to be made in advance! But you save a lot of money! The tours we have reserved in advance for next month are; Grand Circle Island Tour, Hanauma Bay Snorkel Tour, and Diamond Head Tour! Some of the other activities we are going to do with the Go Oahu Card include; admission into Wet and Wild water park, kayak rental in Kailua/Lanikai beach, lunch catamaran, breakfast catamaran, boogeyboard/surfboard/chair/umbrella rental, Iolani Palace, Dole Plantation, USS Arizona and Bowfin, Pearl Harbor, Moped rental, Dollar 1 day car rental! If we paid to do the activities without the Go Oahu Card it would cost over $700, but with the Go Oahu Card it will cost $400 total for 2 people! We bought an Entertainment Book for Hawaii and are going to use the buyonegetone fine dining coupons to; Neptune's Garden, Gyu Kaku, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, The Hau Tree Lanai, Seafood Village, and others, the book cost $17 and it will pay for itself after one use!! I would recommend a car rental at least a few of the days, it's surprisingly not as expensive as you would think, 3 day/$120 is what we are paying through Dollar Rental+1 free day(Go Oahu Card)! If going to Oahu try to check out; Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Turtle Bay, Ko'olina Beach, Manoa Falls, Makapuu Beach, Kaena Point North Shore, Lanikai Pali Hike, Maunawili Falls! And a few spots we can't wait to go; Cheeseburger In Paradise(you can get a drink in a hollowed out Pineapple, yummm), and Pukadog(hawaiian dog with fresh tropical relishes)! I hope that I gave you a few good ideas!

Are you going to Oahu? or Big Island? if your going to Oahu and your looking for cheap places to stay at you can check out Ohana East or The Maile Skycourt hotel. It's about two blocks away from the beach. If your planning on staying @ some hotel close to the beach then your going to be forking out a big chunk of mula to stay there. There alot of places to go to when your visiting hawaii. The beaches are free of course :) just try to avoid shopping in Waikiki because the prices there are ridiculous. Always, ask the locals where to eat at and where is a good place to hang out at. I know there is a special going on @ Polynesian Culture Center it's $25.00 for admission and dinner. You should definitely check that place out before you leave hawaii. Anyway, if you want more info let me know!!! hope that helps you out!

Aloha! I highly recommend Oahu for a 1 week stay if you're on a budget and cant afford to do more than one island. You can get a nice hotel in Waikiki just a couple blocks from the beach with airfare for a decent price. Its even better if you can get a room with a kitchen or at least a fridge/microwave so you can do breakfast in your room and save money. Oahu has so many things to see/do that are free or nearly free, certainly enough to take up a week and still have more things you wish you had done (make sure to work in lots of time for relaxing) =) I'm a travel agent and would be very happy to run some numbers for you based on your budget and the city you'll be flying out of. Feel free to message me if you'd like some help Melissa
