  Whether you would like Honolulu or Maui better depends more on what you like to do than your age. If you like the hustle and bustle of a large urban area with chain stores and chain restaurants you would probably like Honolulu better. Things are generally more expensive in Honolulu for what you get. Almost all of the hotels charge about $20 per day for guest parking if you have a rental car. They are more spacious, the grounds are usually more spacious with amenitites like barbecues, tennis courts, large pools and hot tubs.
