Plan for aspiring surgeon?

I plan on moving to hawaii in the future and want to know how to plan?

• i am currently 15 and a sophmore at the local highschool here in kansas. i have always had a love for hawaii and plan on moving there either for college or after. more likely the second. i plan on going to med school to be a general surgeon. i know i have schol loans and residency to think about, and not to mention getting into med school. i am takiong all honors classes to try to get ahead of the game and currently have a job at the local veterinarian office. is there anything i can do to prapare if i would want to move to hawaii in the future besides saving as much money as possible?

  You might want to consider doing your residency here. We have a good program through the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii. That would get you over here & you would have an excellent opportunity to really get to know the community, as opposed to what it is like to be here on vacation.
