Are there any Turkish restaurants in/near Long Beach, CA?

Beach front restaurants that are not sea food on oahu?

  • i am going to hawaii for the 4th time (3rd trip to oahu), but its been a few years since, and i am looking for beach front restaurants that have selections other than sea food. i dont like fish or shellfish or anything that comes out of the sea, but i want to eat at a beach front restaurant. any suggestions? also something that is family friendly since we will have our 18 month old with us, but not too cheesy. thanks. oh any suggestions for a nice dinner out for my husband and i? my sister has offered to babysit one of the nights we are there, and i am looking for hopefully a beach front restaurant that is nice and again not just sea food. we dont mind dressing up a little either, but cant really afford an expensive 5 star restaurant.

    Aloha Awsome, There are several Oceanfront Restaurants I can reccommend. Of course they all serve seafood, I mean it is Hawaii after all, but they offer many other Entree's as well. My personal favorite which is also family friendly (since I have 3 teenagers I travel with) is DUKES in Waikiki, great food, good drinks and the best beachfront ambience, Tropical breeze, sights and sounds of the ocean,glowing tiki torches, Right upstairs from Dukes is the Hula Grill, the food is good and the Sunset views are fabulous.Then there is Chucks Steak House (some people like it, I didn't, too loud and they took too long as well as too crowded but I'm told they grill a mean steak. All 3 of these restaurants are located in the Outrigger Waikiki On the Beach Hotel ( I suggest you call ahead for Reservations for dinner) Down the beach at the Outrigger Reef Hotel is the Shorebird, good food, Entertainment, right on the beach and they were completely remodeled in 2007. Last time I was there we went to this place called The Shorebird. They don't have any seafood, just meat, and you choose your type of meat and cut (chicken, beef kebabs, filet, new york strip, etc.) and they bring it to you uncooked and you season it and cook it. They also have a salad bar type thing where you can get all kinds of sides. It's pretty moderately priced and we found it to be a lot of fun. I forget which hotel it was in, but it was ocean front and beautiful! Have a nice trip!

My husband and I enjoyed eating at the Shorebird Cafe and Beach Bar. It is right on the beach it's actually in the Outrigger Reef on the Beach Hotel. We only ate lunch there but it was delicious and reasonably priced. I don't eat a whole lot at a meal and my burger I got one day was large enough for me to take half back to our room and heat it up in the microwave later for dinner. Also, look in the Hawaii guide books that are everywhere while we were there we found buy one get one 1/2 off coupons. We used that the first time we ate there & then our server gave us another one when they brought the check. I also heard from a nice lady I met on the beach that the restaurant has a great breakfast buffet. Again, didn't try it because we ate breakfast in our room. But you should try it; in my opinion it was very good. And they have yummy mixed drinks!
