How much are Priceline fees?

Need advise on what to bid on Priceline 'Name your own Price' (see details)?

  • I've been searching and searching and searching and the lowest I can find on Priceline and a few other sites from Detroit, Michigan to Tucson, Arizona from 12/18/08 to 1/1/09 is $320 Total. However, I know that if I do try to 'name your own price' the taxes, fees and booking, etc. are 'not' included, so I have to remember that when 'naming my own price'. I need 2 tickets, so that would be $640 Total. Are there any people out there who use Priceline 'name your own price' who can give me some 'much needed advise' as to what I should start my offerl at???? I really hope somebody can help me, Please!!!! Thanks

I would suggest you be flexible with your date coming back since it's New Years and average in any extra taxes, fees and "other" expenses when you are bidding. For example: for one ticket and the normal price is an average of 320.00 with fees then I would bid between 75-100.00 less than that and see if you get a bite. Good luck!

your return flight is on a holiday and may be the reason you can't get a better rate.

I will never use priceline because after you name your price, they won't tell you what hotel you are staying in until after you pay and there are no refunds. I want to know what hotel I will be staying in before I pay, because if it is horrible then I won't pay my money. I would try hotels.com. They give you a description of the hotel before you give them a dime of your money.

i used to live in nevada and winter holiday prices suckkkkkk. 320 really doesn't sound too bad. bf's grandma passed away that time of year a couple years ago and it was about $650 for him to fly home and back. (one ticket). so two for that price sounds pretty fantastic that time of year. you might want to check surrounding hotels though. just had a friend fly in from north caronlina to detroit (layover) to saginaw, for $100 *cheaper* than just going NC to detroit. its stupid that it can ever work that way because you know your always getting ripped off anyway, but it might catch you a good price.
