What are my chances of getting into the University of Michigan?

What are my chances of getting into University of Michigan at Ann Arbor?

  • So, I go to a private, independant, Catholic school.. with a 3.6 GPA, a couple AP's, and an 1800 SAT. I've done community service, and have a pretty well rounded list of activities and extracurriculars.. I'm from out of state though.. I've already sent my APP in, so what do you think my chances of acceptance are??

  • Answer:

If you've already sent in your app, you should be okay. I've known people with worse credentials who've gotten in. I got waitlisted because I applied too late (late December or early January, I think). I had over a 4.0 and had a decent ACT score, but didn't have a ton of extracurriculars (the ones I had were good, though), all that much community service, and I was a public school student.

your SAT is pretty good and your GPA could be higher but i think you should try, you do have chances of getting in

I just turned in my app too. I say you have a solid chance to get in, especially since you already turned in your app, but having your GPA .1 or .2 higher would have helped a lot. Good luck!

I think your chances are good, especially if you're going to the LSA school or something. You can later transfer into engineering or medschool if that's what you're after.
