I cannot decide whether to live in Michigan or Georgia? I;m either going to U of M or UGA? I need help?

Both the University of Michigan and the University of Georgia are very good academic institutions and I have met many graduates to have attended both universities. Between the two colleges, I would suggest that you attend the University of Georgia and here is why; 1) In the factors you mention, you say you are a very strong Christian and a Republican. I have been to Ann Arbor and the city is Very Liberal and is not a place where Republicans are going to be found very easily. Although Clarke County, Georgia (where Athens is located) is Liberal, the state of Georgia is a Very Conservative state while the State of Michigan is Very Liberals. 2) The cost of attending both colleges. Unless you are getting some kind of a scholarship to attend the University of Michigan, you will pay less to attend the University of Georgia. For example, a nine month semester at the University of Georgia will cost you around $18,000 a year while attending the University of Michigan will cost you over $42,000 a year. This means you will have to spend over $24,000 more on your education. To attend the University of Georgia for four years, you are going to spend around $72,000 to $75,000 for four years. Essentially, you are spending double to go to University of Michigan than if you stay at the University of Georgia. Both colleges are good academic universities, but you have to keep in mind that you will spend double in you go to the University of Michigan over the University of Georgia and if you have student loans to pay off after college, it will take you shorter to pay them off if you attend the University of Georgia but if you attend the University of Michigan, you will have to pay off loans for a very long time.
