How long until I get my visa to the US after my interview in a consulate?
-
I am a non-Canadian student in Canada wishing to get a visitor visa for the US as soon as possible. I am wondering after I have my interview has finished in the US consulate how long until I receive my visa? Is it immediate or is there a waiting period?
-
Answer:
Takes about 4 to 6 weeks, this is a busy time for the consulate as it is summer and tourist season is up. Not to mention with all the problems going on, it might take a while. Call them and ask them to get an estimate on the time. Since your not Canadian its going to be harder for you to get a visa to the U.S, need to do numerous background checks on you.
