i want to live in either Ohio, MICHIGAN, or Illinois. My first choice is University of Michgian, cause i want to live in Michigan..Im going pre-med and i live in Georgia right now. I want to live where it snows alot in the winter. I'm a christian and a republican, but i cant live in a blue state. it doesnt matter. so what do you think also how hard is it to get in to University of michgian. I have a 4.5 weighted and a 4.0 unweighted. a 2200 on SAT. and i'm the president of 3 clubs also, what's the weather like in Michigan? how much snow? what's the summer like? I LOVE COLD WINTERS

Answer:
Loyola might be a better choice for you if your political and religous views are very important to you. Loyola is a Jesuit school, so it has a long tradition of liberal thinking, but it is not libertine like Ohio or Michigan. You should visit all campuses and review your housing choices, access to school and local taxes. Chicago has a 6% sales tax, plus other spiffs they put on certain items like gas. Loyola is located just on the edge of Rogers Park, it sits right on the water and it has a very small campus. Michigan. Your legs will get in good shape. Ohio. Is not even worth consideration. They don't wash their hands down there, they think Ether was Lucy's neighbor and will marry a cousin just to keep the guest list short.

They are all blue states. Maybe you can go to University of Alaska, they have cold weather and a right wing christian governor. I don't know how good the school is, but I imagine that isn't important to you either

University of Michigan has a wonderful medical school. Much, much better than your other choices. U of M is extremely difficult to get into, even with fantastic grades. Good luck!

In the Ann Arbor area, they typically get 3 to 4 feet of snow in the winter. Temperatures can get below zero for days on end. Getting into the school can be tough, I'm told. And, depending upon how Christian you are, you may be appalled at some of the things you'll see on campus. The Undergraduate Library is reportedly the main singles bar for homosexuals on campus. Every year in April, the campus hosts the Hash Bash, an event dedicated to promoiting the legalization of marijuana. And, of course, there's the Naked Mile. I just thought I'd warn you of some of the stuff to expect.
