Where are some good bars around LAX?

What are some good bars in or around greektown in detroit to go to? I am going for my 21st birthday.?

• I am staying at the new greektown casino hotel and was wondering if there where some good bars to go to in greektown or around it in detroit? I would prefer more of a sports bar rather that a club.

  It really depends on what you're looking for... The Old Shillelagh is solid b/c it gives you two options. The upstairs portion of the bar has a live band (covers and Irish music) and about 30 tables full of people drinking and singing along. Downstairs has a DJ that plays generic hip hop. Deluxe, across the street from the Old Shillelagh, is a small dance bar, and it tends to attract the group of girls that are "just there to dance." Solid if you have a good group of 4 or 5. The Well, next to the Old Shillelagh, is a more nice, energetic bar, a good mix of college kids and adults. The Baltimore, located next door to the Well, is a family owned hole-in-the-wall. EXCELLENT grilled cheese sandwich. The crowd differentiates from week to week, but is worth walking through. There are a few more about a block away, but these four are all less than a minute away from each other and should serve as a good starting point. Happy Birthday, and good luck!
