Has anyone been to the Royal Haciendas?

Has anyone ever been to The Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan?

  • I'm planning on going to a show there on 11/23. I just wanna know if the surroundings are decent. All i really know about Royal Oak is that it's a suburb of Detroit, which isn't really my favorite city in the world but it's where I go for shows since it's the closest to where i live.

    I saw Clutch there and it was a great venue for rock music. This area of Royal Oak is nice, clean, well-light..unlike many areas of Detroit. There are many clubs just off Main Street filled with a younger poser party crowd. Royal Oak is quite accepting of all lifestyles too. You really don't feel like your in Detroit Rock City here. Have fun!...btw what are you seeing in November?

I have been there, its a great venue on Main in Royal Oak. Very safe suburb of Detroit and is about 20 mins north of the city. The street is packed with Bars and Restaraunts so make sure to enjoy a meal and a drink while you are there as well. Have fun.

I've never been to the music theatre itself, but Royal Oak is a nice city. It's got a nice little downtown with neat shops and what not. Yeah, the surroundings are decent. Have fun!
